Site Policies

Please observe the terms of the Content Policy. Additionally, please do not post confidential or sensitive personal information on this website. Because most of the membership information in the user profile is optional, users are welcome to withhold any information they prefer to keep to themselves. On the other hand, most of the information entered in a user profile (except the email address, which stays private) will be available to the rest of the user community and to the public, so only post what you want others to see.

Brian's blog moving here

You may be wondering why you're seeing some of the same entries in two places. Well, I recently decided that running my personal blog through a separate CMS (Wordpress) in a separate subdomain (napword) just didn't make any sense. In addition to constant overlap between actual blog entries and postings on this site, the extra effort involved in maintaining two separate systems that did essentially the same thing was too much. I had originally envisioned that this site would be a place for my extended family to all come together, but that vision never came together, and I have been increasingly 'personalizing' this site. I finally decided the other day to just condense the two into a single site, and I chose this one because I like the added flexibility of Drupal (i.e. Drupal lets me do more than just blog). So, I will slowly be moving my posted blog articles from Wordpress to Drupal. For a while, you'll be able to find them in both places.

While I try to maintain a forum that is as open as possible to the exchange and discussion of ideas, I do have a few guidelines that I request you adhere to. Please remember that this site is being offered at a fairly substantial personal expense, and that it has only one owner/web master and two administrators right now. With that in mind, I reserve the right to edit, move or remove any material posted on this site for any reason without necessarily providing an explanation. I also reserve the right to approve, deny or revoke memberships as seen fit, also without explanation. For the most part, I will try not to exercise these rights, and if I do, I will try to provide a reasonable explanation. Many of the things that would call for the red pen or a boot from the site are detailed in the list below. Also check the Privacy Policy for more information.
