When an oppressed people lash out against their oppressors, it's called "terrorism." When a state visits horrendous violence upon a civilian population, it's called "national security." This is one of many examples of the newspeak employed by the ruling class, a phenomenon that widely-known writer Noam Chomsky has repeatedly identified. At some point, someone should compile a lexicon of political discourse in the United States. Maybe I'll make that one of my next projects.
